Southwest
Screen and the Creative Skills Consortium were very generous on the Writers'
Block Screenwriting Weekend in Falmouth, and effectively reduced the price
for you by some 75%. Without their support the weekend would have cost
individuals at least £250. We need to find grant-giving organisations,
individuals, trusts and companies who want writers, and most especially
the Writers' Block group, to develop in the South West.

There
has never been a better time for writers in Cornwall. European funding
and Objective One, Creative Skills Consortium, Southwest Screen, Cornwall
Film Fund, Cornwall Film Festival, the advent of CUC (Combined Universities
of Cornwall at the Falmouth College of Art) to name but a few are here
to help us, and some, will in time, need what we have to offer.
Don't
forget that we are the blueprint - the starting block - the idea - that
becomes the movie, novel, documentary, animation.
