In October 2003 Mundic Nation presented Writers' Block, the first weekend of its kind in Cornwall.

Over two days at the St. Michael's Hotel in Falmouth 50 delegates enjoyed a programme of workshops, seminars and master classes, all dedicated to the nuts and bolts of screenwriting.

Networking or relaxing?   Thanks to financial support from South West Screen and Creative Skills Consortium , we were able to offer the weekend at an extremely low rate, and still attract top industry speakers and guests.

Keynote Speaker Sam Snape (left) and literary agent Julian Friedmann led inspiring sessions, as did Marie Macneill and Raoul Morris (pictured below with delegate Emma George).   Sam Snape and Julian Friedmann

"I've been in the television industry for 27 years and in that time have attended, and tutored in, dozens of workshops, seminars and festivals.
Seldom have I taken part in an event so well thought out, professionally organised and enthusiastically delivered. And I have rarely seen such enthusiasm generated amongst participants, all of us finding inspiration and encouragement at our various levels and in our wide ranging interests."
